BVSPCA's Mega® Adoption Event is the largest adoption event in the country. Hundreds of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens will be looking for their forever homes. Local, regional, and national shelters have joined this Mega® movement. Join us and help find pets homes this summer!
Event Details
Through our 15 local and national Mega® Adoption Events, we have placed nearly 16,000 homeless cats and dogs with loving families. Each one is truly an experience, with hundreds of homeless pets being chosen to join a family over one weekend. Plan to join the fun and find your new furry companion, or if you have a full house, join us as a volunteer for the event, or help spread the word to your family and friends!

Hundreds of wonderful furry companions will be looking for their forever homes – big dogs, small dogs, senior pets, puppies, and kittens. The Mega® Adoption Event will be held at Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Delaware. Choose and meet your potential future family member, then welcome them into your home on the spot.

Puppies, kittens, and small dogs get adopted quickly, so if you're looking to adopt a young or small animal, consider purchasing a Fast Pass (SOLD OUT) for early access Saturday morning before the official event opening time. Fast passes cost $75 and give access to up to five family members for one adoption. Fast Pass entry time is Saturday, June 15th from 8:30 - 10 a.m.
Adoption information
With more than 1,000 adoptable animals to choose from, attending the Mega® Adoption Event is a wonderful way to find your perfect family member. The adoption process focuses on helping you find the right match for your family. Staff and volunteers will be on-site to help you with your selection, and you will take your pet home the same day you visit.
All participating partner organizations will use the same adoption process, and the $35 adoption fee applies to all animals. The adoption fee includes:

What to bring
You’ll just need to bring the few items listed below to complete an adoption.
